Mental health issues play a major role in the levels of education ultimately achieved by our children. There is also evidence that substance abuse is starting at younger and younger ages. Children with untreated mental health or addiction problems have many obstacles to learning that can affect whether or not they lead positive, productive adult lives.
Including behavioral health services in children's lives will ensure our students have an equal chance to succeed in school. Strategies that bring families, schools and professionals together will improve behavioral and academic outcomes for children and youth.
Our behavioral health experience enables us to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. We treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral ground to children and their families
Treatment focuses on helping children learn to:
· Control aggression/anger.
· Enhance communication and social and interpersonal skills.
· Make healthier choices and decisions.
· Improve daily living skills, impulse control, peer relations, and problem solving.
· Improve community connection.
· Improve overall psychological well-being
We promise to be there for you and your children every step of the way and address all their behavioral health needs, and move forward to where you and your children want to be in life.

During the first year postpartum, up to 85% of new mothers experience some kind of mood disturbance, and 10-15% will have more severe mood or anxiety symptoms. While depression is very common in the postpartum, the condition is likely to go unrecognized and untreated by a mother's own health care provider, who may see her less frequently than the pediatrician. For this reason, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommend that routine screening for maternal postpartum depression be integrated into the 1-, 2-, 4-, and 6-month, well-child visits. While the pediatrician may not formally diagnose postpartum depression, it is important to be vigilant for it, screen routinely, and provide appropriate intervention and referral when encountered.
Behavioral health – which includes mental health, substance use, and more – is a key part of your overall well-being. Brief screenings are the quickest way to determine if you or someone you care about should connect with a behavioral health professional. Think of these as a checkup from your neck up. This program is completely anonymous and confidential, and immediately following the brief questionnaire you will see your results, recommendations, and key resources.
